Jeff Mills
Co-founder of the influential Detroit collective Underground Resistance alongside "Mad" Mike Banks, this Detroit native is a foundational figure in the history of techno. Known for his fast, percussive, and highly technical three-turntable mixing style, Jeff Mills established Axis Records in 1992 to release his own stripped-back, minimal techno productions. His seminal 1997 release "The Bells" remains one of the most recognizable anthems in electronic music, appearing in 31 recorded sets on set79. Beyond his early residencies at Tresor in Berlin and Limelight in New York, his catalog spans cinematic film scores, classical orchestra collaborations, and conceptual art installations.
