Ken Ishii
Based in Tokyo, Ken Ishii is a pioneer of Japanese techno with a sound heavily inspired by futuristic, Detroit-style techno. He gained global recognition with his 1995 album *Jelly Tones* and the single "Extra", both released on the Belgian label R&S Records. He also runs his own label, 70 Drums, which he launched in 2002. On set79, his recorded sets feature high-energy techno, including his performance for Boiler Room.
