Marc Acardipane

Frankfurt-based producer Marc Trauner co-founded the label Planet Core Productions in 1989 and is widely credited with creating hardcore techno. His 1990 track "We Have Arrived," released as Mescalinum United, is often cited as the first hardcore techno record. Acardipane has released under close to 90 solo aliases, including The Mover, Pilldriver, and Marshall Masters. His sets run through gabber, hardcore, and terror.
