Paul Traeumer
Born in East Germany and now based in Berlin, Paul Traeumer runs the kontrapost label and makes deep house and downtempo built around percussion loops, human voice and piano. He came up through classical training and performs as a live musician rather than a straight DJ, which is where the psychedelic, improvised edge of his sets comes from. His debut album La Vaca Cega, two years in the making, landed in 2024, and he plays Berlin rooms like Kater Blau.
