Speedy J
Based in Rotterdam, Speedy J has been a defining figure in techno since the early 1990s, with a sound that spans hard, minimal, and experimental styles. His early career was marked by the 1991 breakout track Pullover and releases on Warp Records and Plus 8. He runs the Electric Deluxe and STOOR labels, the latter of which operates as a Rotterdam-based studio for live hardware improvisation. As a performer, Speedy J blurs the line between DJing and live sets, frequently collaborating with Surgeon under the moniker Multiples. On set79, his recorded performances include appearances at Awakenings, Time Warp, and Berghain.
