Sugarbeats

Ashland, Oregon duo Luke Estes and Ananda Goldsmith have recorded as SugarBeats since 2012, working a funk-sampling strain of glitch hop built on jazzy chord stabs, live instrumentation and heavy bass design. Their releases have gone out through Muti Music and Westwood Recordings, with the Fizz Pop EP and the album Fly High marking the turn toward brighter future funk. Their sets pull in nu disco and hip-hop alongside the glitch material.
