Yu Su
Kaifeng-born and now based in Vancouver, Yu Su came to dance music through Mood Hut's basement parties there. Her productions sit between ambient dub and slow, left-field house, with melodies pulled from Chinese traditional and pop music, and the 2021 debut album Yellow River Blue came out through Music From Memory. She also runs bié Records, which she started to release artists she met while touring mainland China, and her club sets, harder and dubbier than the records, have landed her at Dekmantel and Nuits Sonores.
