Octave One
Detroit techno group led by brothers Lawrence and Lenny Burden, who founded the 430 West label in 1990 and released their debut "I Believe" the same year. Octave One's best-known track is "Blackwater," a 2000 single that has sold over a million copies and still turns up in sets by DJs like Jeff Mills and Richie Hawtin. They perform live as well as DJ, keeping to the soulful, melodic side of Detroit techno.
