Robert Hood
As a founding member of the Underground Resistance collective, Detroit native Robert Hood helped define the minimal techno genre. He runs the M-Plant label, which he established in 1994 to release stripped-down techno. The 1994 album *Minimal Nation* established his loop-based production style, and his track "Unix" remains a staple in recorded sets on set79. Robert Hood also performs alongside his daughter Lyric Hood as the gospel-influenced house duo Floorplan.
